Job summary

Businesslist in Malaysia is seeking a Mechanical Engineering professional to act as the technical liaison for key consultants, customers, and strategic accounts. You will bridge sales and manufacturing to deliver optimal cooling solutions, develop technical selections, and conduct TCO analyses.

The role includes project costing support, DE/EX statements, and collaboration with Product Managers and Engineers.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of engineering experience in mechanical, cooling, refrigeration, hydraulics or related industries.
• Data centre environment experience is an advantage.
• Fluent Business English.
• Willingness to travel regionally (~10%).

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical POC for consultants, customers and strategic accounts.
• Interface between sales and manufacturing to deliver optimal solutions.
• Develop technical selections, feasibility studies and TCO analyses.
• Support sales with project costing, proposals and compliance docs.
• Prepare deviation and exception statements for submissions and tenders.
• Collaborate with product managers, technical support, and various engineers.
• Participate in meetings to capture project requirements and provide updates.
• Communicate with stakeholders to resolve queries and align objectives.
• Incorporate customer feedback to improve solutions and UX.
• Maintain stakeholder relationships to facilitate project delivery.
• Provide application support for data centre cooling solutions (AHU, CRAC/CRAH, Chillers, ACMV, liquid cooling).
• Support development and implementation of project-specific cooling applications.
• Travel within the region as required.

Job description

• Serve as the technical point of contact for key consultants, customers, and strategic accounts
• Act as the interface between sales teams and manufacturing capabilities to deliver optimal solutions
• Develop technical selections, feasibility studies, and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analyses
• Support sales teams with project costing, technical proposals, and compliance documentation
• Prepare deviation and exception statements for customer submissions and tenders
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Technical Support, Aftersales Teams, Commissioning Engineers, Key Account Managers, Consultants, and Contractors
• Participate in technical and account management meetings to understand project requirements and provide updates
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to resolve technical queries and align project objectives
• Gather and incorporate customer feedback to improve solution effectiveness and user experience
• Maintain strong stakeholder relationships to facilitate project delivery and technical support
• Provide application support for data centre cooling solutions including Air Handling Units (AHU), CRAC Units, CRAH Units, Chillers, ACMV systems, related cooling products, and Liquid Cooling solutions
• Support the development and implementation of project-specific cooling applications
• Travel within the region as required to support customer engagements and project activities

The Successful Applicant

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline
• Minimum 2 years of engineering experience, preferably within mechanical, cooling, refrigeration, hydraulics, or related industries
• Previous experience in data centre environments would be an advantage
• Strong technical aptitude with the ability to interpret customer requirements and recommend suitable solutions
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Highly organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
• Able to manage multiple projects and priorities independently
• Comfortable with both technical back-office responsibilities and customer-facing engagements
• Ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Willingness to travel regionally (approximately 10%)
• Fluent Business English required
• Mandarin language proficiency is optional and not essential for the role due to the regional scope and business requirements outside of Japan markets
