Job summary

Quasi-S Sdn Bhd in Penang, Malaysia is seeking an Applications Engineer to conduct laboratory tests according to established procedures and assist in advanced material analyses. The role leverages SEM/EDX, FTIR, CSAM and X-ray capabilities to support semiconductor and electronics projects.

The candidate will ensure timely testing, maintain laboratory practices, and help implement ISO 9001:2015 while working with a diverse team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Diploma in Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in Failure Analysis is advantageous.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory tests per established or new methods.
• Assist in ISO 9001:2015 implementation.
• Maintain Good Laboratory Practice and housekeeping.
• Utilize resources efficiently and effectively.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Laboratory Manager.

Job description

Perform laboratory tests as per accordance with existing/new test methods or procedures.

Experiences in Physical Failure Analysis are added advantages, especially on SEM/EDX , Mechanical cross-section, FTIR, CSAM ,X-ray.

Timeliness and accuracy to meet turnaround time.

Assist in fulfilling the requirements for the effective implementation of ISO 9001:2015.

Use the available resources in an effective and efficient manner.

Ensure Good Housekeeping and Good Laboratory practice in the laboratory.

Perform any other responsibilities as assigned by the Laboratory Manager.

Job Requirement:

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Material or Electronics), Chemistry, Physics or equivalent.


• At least 1 year working experience in the related field.


• Experiences in Failure Analysis is an advantage.


• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
