Job summary

Psdc in Bayan Lepas, Penang, Malaysia is seeking an Application Engineer to support on-site setup and testing of machine vision systems for AOI applications. You will troubleshoot, tune hardware, and integrate lighting, cameras, lenses, and controllers while coordinating with customers.

You will also provide training, perform sample evaluations, and keep daily written communications with customers and internal teams to ensure tasks are tracked and completed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment.
• Knowledge of machine vision / image processing / motion control is an added advantage.
• Willing to travel locally and overseas.
• Fresh graduates welcome to apply.

Application Engineer

Responsibilities

• Responsible for onsite system setup and testing for machine vision system such asAutomated Optical Inspection (AOI) machine.
• Perform troubleshooting and provide technical assistance to customers.
• Responsible for minor and basic mechanical fine-tuning and adjustment in-house andon-site.
• Integrate and configure machine vision related hardware such as lighting, controller,camera, lenses and optics.
• Provide training to customers.
• Perform sample evaluation to study machine vision / motion control feasibility.
• Maintain daily communication with customers to ensure tasks and action items are well follow up on-site.
• Perform daily reporting through email to customers and respective teams on your dailyactivities.

Requirements

• Preferably in bachelor’s degree / Postgraduate in Electrical / Electronic Engineering orequivalent.
• Experience in diagnosing and troubleshooting on equipment is preferred.
• Knowledge of machine vision / image processing / motion control is an addedadvantage.
• Responsible, able to work independently, initiative and good interpersonal skills.
• Discipline, strong time management skill, multi-tasking with priority planning.
• Able to travel locally / overseas.
