Job summary

Private Advertiser in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an Application Developer to support development, enhancement and maintenance of government digital applications. The role involves hands-on programming, troubleshooting, system optimisation, testing and technical support.

You will work closely with project teams, implement CMS-based solutions and mobile apps using Ionic/Flutter, ensuring stability and security in a evolving technology environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Software Engineering, Computer Science or related IT field.
• Minimum 5 years of programming/application development experience.
• Minimum 3 years hands-on CMS experience with Drupal, WordPress, Joomla, Liferay, KOHA or Statamic.
• Minimum 3 years experience with databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MariaDB, MSSQL).
• Minimum 3 years experience with mobile app development frameworks (Ionic/Flutter).
• Good understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
• Willing to work on-site in Jalan Sultan Salahuddin, Kuala Lumpur.
• Willing to participate in screening, programming assessment and interview.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities

• Develop, modify, enhance and maintain application source code based on functional and technical requirements.
• Perform application development, bug fixing, troubleshooting and technical issue resolution.
• Implement application enhancements to improve system functionality, performance, usability and user experience.
• Perform preventive, corrective, perfective and adaptive application maintenance.
• Analyse application errors, bugs, defects and operational issues and implement appropriate technical solutions.
• Work with databases to support application development, data processing and system performance.
• Develop, maintain and enhance applications built on CMS platforms such as Drupal, WordPress, Joomla, Liferay, KOHA or Statamic.

About you

• Minimum Diploma in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Application Development or other relevant IT-related fields.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant programming/application development experience, excluding internship or industrial training.
• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience with Content Management Systems (CMS) such as Drupal, WordPress, Joomla, Liferay, KOHA or Statamic or equivalent CMS platforms.
• Minimum 3 years of experience working with databases, particularly MySQL, PostgreSQL, MariaDB or MSSQL.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with mobile application development frameworks, particularly Ionic and/or Flutter.
• Good understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
• Willing to work on‑site in Jalan Sultan Salahuddin, Kuala Lumpur.
