Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an Application Developer to support the development, enhancement and maintenance of government digital applications. The role involves hands‑on programming, application enhancement, troubleshooting, system optimisation, testing and technical support.

You will work with project teams to develop reliable applications, perform source-code enhancements, resolve technical issues and ensure applications remain stable, secure and compatible with evolving technology environments.

Qualifications

Diploma in relevant IT field required.
Minimum 5 years of programming/development experience.
At least 3 years CMS experience with Drupal/WordPress/Joomla/Liferay/KOHA/Statamic.
At least 3 years with MySQL, PostgreSQL, MariaDB or MSSQL.
At least 3 years of mobile app development with Ionic and/or Flutter.
Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP).

Responsibilities

Develop, modify, enhance and maintain application source code based on requirements.
Perform development, bug fixing, troubleshooting and issue resolution.
Implement enhancements to improve functionality, performance, usability.
Perform preventive, corrective, perfective and adaptive maintenance.
Analyse errors and implement technical solutions.
Work with databases to support development and performance.
Develop and enhance CMS-based applications (Drupal, WordPress, Joomla, Liferay, KOHA, Statamic).
Support mobile apps using Ionic and Flutter.
Ensure compatibility with platform updates, third-party software and ICT security requirements.
