Job summary

Valmet in Malaysia seeks an Application Engineering Manager to lead the centralized Quotation Hub for Asia Pacific, ensuring fast, accurate and competitive quotes that empower sales teams and customers.

You will build and coach a small team, implement standardized quotation and order processes with CPQ tools, and collaborate with sales, operations, finance, service, and product management to improve order success and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years of relevant professional experience in sales support, quotation management, or a related field.
• Experience managing complex quotation processes with significant business impact.
• Experience leading, allocating, and monitoring the work of a small team.
• Strong understanding of quotation, order management, and customer support processes.
• Ability to work closely with cross-functional stakeholders including sales, operations, finance, service teams, and product managers.
• Experience supporting distributors and implementing standardized sales support processes.
• Familiarity with CPQ tools and SFDC-related activities.
• Strong customer focus with the ability to manage issues, complaints, and competing priorities effectively.
• Proven ability to drive process improvements and maintain high standards of documentation and compliance.
• Experience operating across national or regional environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a centralized Quotation Hub supporting quotation activities across the Asia Pacific region.
• Ensure accurate, competitive, and technically sound quotations that meet customer requirements and internal approval processes.
• Manage the quotation process and act as a key point of contact to support sales activities and customer orders.
• Collaborate with sales representatives, operations, finance, service teams, and product managers to ensure quotation and order accuracy.
• Support customers, distributors, and sales teams by resolving quotation, order, and complaint-related issues.
• Provide technical application and commercial support throughout the quotation-to-order process.
• Define and implement standardized quotation and order-handling processes, including CPQ tool adoption and support.
• Lead onboarding, training, and development programs for team members, distributors, and agents.
• Drive process improvements and maintain structured, traceable documentation and filing practices.
• Monitor quotation volume, hit rates, win/loss trends, SFDC activities, and team workload to support business objectives and customer satisfaction.
