Job summary

1000heads Group is seeking an IT professional to manage APAC IT support across Kuala Lumpur and remote offices in Sydney, Melbourne and Tokyo. You will diagnose hardware and software issues on macOS and Windows, manage tickets in Freshservice, and ensure AV/meeting-room tech keeps every office connected.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years in IT support or IT engineering, ideally across multiple offices.
• Strong troubleshooting across macOS and Windows.
• Proficient with Microsoft 365 and Entra ID; Google Workspace knowledge.
• Networking fundamentals: Wi‑Fi, switching, firewalls, VPN.
• Working knowledge of Linux (Ubuntu) administration.
• Some Bash or Python scripting with willingness to improve.
• Experience with a ticketing system and AV/meeting-room tech.
• Clear written and spoken English for async regional work.
• Comfortable working independently with a remote manager; proactive about risks.
• Desire to broaden infrastructure, cloud, development and AI tooling skills.

Responsibilities

• APAC IT support for staff in KL and remote APAC offices; diagnose and resolve hardware, software, accounts, and connectivity issues.
• Own onboarding and offboarding: laptops, accounts, access and equipment returns; manage devices.
• Administer Microsoft 365 Entra ID, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint and Google Workspace for APAC; maintain asset registers.
• Roll out device management (Intune/Jamf) and manage office networks; ensure endpoint security basics.
• Collaborate with global IT and cross‑office teams on projects; support AI hardware and AWS environments.
• Write Bash and Python scripts to automate provisioning, monitoring and support tasks.
• Stay current on AI tooling and emerging technology; test approaches before client rollout.
