Job summary

Iotronix Technologies Sdn Bhd in Bayan Lepas, Malaysia, is seeking a Field Application Engineer for an on-site, full-time role. You will install, maintain, troubleshoot and optimize test systems to maximize production line uptime.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree in engineering and at least 3 years in test automation, with EMS exposure preferred. Travel up to 75% and strong cross‑language communication are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Automation & Mechatronics, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in test automation development; EMS sector experience is a plus.
• On-site support experience is preferred.
• Ability to communicate in Mandarin, English, and Malay is an advantage.
• Willingness to travel for work assignments (75%).
• Work location is Bayan Lepas, Malaysia (on-site).

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site installation, daily maintenance, troubleshooting and rapid resolution of issues related to test systems to maximize production line availability.
• Communicate closely with customers and internal project teams to address relevant issues in project delivery in a timely manner.
• Support project delivery by deploying, installing, integrating and validating test systems at customer sites.
• Implement upgrades and modifications to existing equipment based in engineering change request.
• Deploying, installing, debug and maintaining automation line, appearance machine, packing machine etc.
• Prepare ad-hoc reports and provide data driven insights for product and process improvement.
• Create and update technical documentation, including system configuration guides and troubleshooting procedures, and be responsible for customer training.
• Any ad-hoc tasks as per assigned by manager.

• Ability to communicate in Mandarin, English, and Malay is an advantage to support effective engagement and negotiations with diverse suppliers and stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel for work assignments.
• Strong problem-solving ability and adaptability.

From RM6,000.00 per month
