Job summary

OMRON's Industrial Automation team in Penang seeks an entry-level Post-Sales Support engineer with a background in electronics/electrical/mechatronics. You will handle maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting while supporting distributors and customers to resolve issues and maintain confidence.

The role involves system configuration, quarterly status checks, and participation in product trainings to build technical skills and knowledge for PCB inspection systems. Mandarin is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum Higher Diploma or Degree in Electronics / Electrical / Mechatronics Engineering.
• Good analytical skills and sound technical / computer knowledge.
• Exposure in SMT process is essential.
• 0-2 years of experience in machinery troubleshooting.
• Candidates with no prior experience are encouraged to apply (entry-level).
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication to interact with customers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• To be involved in the Post Sales support function in assigned area with strong emphasis on maintenance, troubleshooting, installation and distributor resource development.
• Support Distributors & customers to rectify issues and maintain confidence.
• Involvement in Post Sales Engineering Support including installation, maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Conduct the Quarterly Machine Status check and reporting.
• Attend product trainings to acquire required skills and knowledge.
• Support in System Configuration and sourcing of items for projects.
• Coordinate release notes and new software versions to distributors.
• Assist in Demonstration / Evaluation for PCB Inspection System products with distributor support.
