Job summary

Motorola Solutions in Malaysia is seeking an experienced mechanical antenna designer to join our Advanced Technology team and help deliver reliable radio solutions.

You will design and develop antennas for two-way radios, perform CAD-based simulations, optimize layouts, validate designs, and ensure compliance with reliability and regulatory standards while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams across engineering, product, and operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree or above majoring in Mechanics and Forces, Thermal and Fluids, Control System or similar related areas.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Mechanical design.
  • Experienced with mechanical simulations e.g. CAD, 3D modeling, etc.
  • Preparing mechanical prints and drawings with specifications and testing requirements.
  • Well versed in analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good knowledge of material properties.
  • Familiar with RF equipment such as CMW, network analyzer and spectrum analyzer.
  • Good team spirit, good communications and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work well with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Design and development of two-way radios' antennas to be used by all products.
  • Mechanical design, simulation, optimization, validation and test activities to ensure products meet reliability and regulatory standards.
