Job summary

Yokogawa is seeking a field service engineer to join our maintenance and servicing team in Malaysia. You will perform on-site commissioning, troubleshooting, calibration, and service for Yokogawa products, and provide clear technical support to customers during FAT/SAT.

You will document service activities, generate reports, and collaborate with sales, engineering, and product teams to address customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in engineering discipline.
• Experience in making training presentations for customers.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, able to perform under pressure.
• Willingness to travel extensively and possess own transport.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site commissioning, troubleshooting, calibration, and maintenance of Yokogawa products.
• Handle service inquiries, generate quotations, and assist customers with technical details.
• Record calibration data and issue service reports with accurate documentation.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, or software issues, remotely or on-site.
• Provide technical support for FAT and SAT and collaborate with sales/engineering.
• Document all service activities and submit detailed reports.
• Educate customers or internal teams on proper use, maintenance, and safety.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintenance & Servicing

• Perform on-site commissioning, troubleshooting, calibration, and maintenance of Yokogawa products.
• Handle service and spare parts inquiries, generate quotations, and assist customers with technical details.
• Record calibration data and issue service reports, ensuring that all data is accurately documented.

Troubleshooting

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, or software-related issues, both remotely and during site visits.
• Ensure prompt identification and resolution of any equipment malfunctions.

Customer Support

• Provide timely and effective technical support to customers, ensuring clear and simple explanations of technical details.
• Offer internal support for project engineering, FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing), and SAT (Site Acceptance Testing).

Reporting

• Document all service activities, repair work, and customer interactions.
• Generate and submit detailed service reports for internal and customer review.

Training

• Educate customer or internal teams on the proper use, maintenance, and safety procedures of Yokogawa products and systems.

Compliance

• Ensure that all maintenance and service activities meet industry regulations, safety standards, and internal quality guidelines.

Collaboration

• Collaborate with sales, engineering, and product teams to provide feedback on equipment performance and address customer requirements.
• Offer insights on equipment enhancements and customer needs for future projects.

Other Activities

• Conduct regular performance reviews, identify training needs, and ensure continuous professional development of the team.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 27001 standards, along with company policies and procedures

Education

• A Degree or Diploma in any discipline of Engineering
• Experience in making training presentation for customers
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, able to perform under pressure.
• Integrity and trustworthiness to ensure full compliance with company ethics
• Strong believer of team work with skills of influencing
• Possess own transport and willing to travel extensively
