Job summary

Private Advertiser in Penang is building a new Engineering Design Centre and seeks a senior engineer to lead analog, mixed-signal and power electronics design.

You will develop sensor interfaces, ADC/DAC, DC-DC converters and power management, apply SPICE for validation, and guide PCB layouts with OrCAD, Cadence or Altium.

Strong collaboration with international teams, travel overseas may be required, and PhD candidates with less industry experience may be considered.

Qualifications

• Strong analog, mixed-signal and power electronics design and verification.
• Expertise in sensor interfaces, ADC/DAC and power management.
• Proficient in SPICE simulation, EMC/EMI design and troubleshooting.
• Able to define PCB layout guidelines and work with major EDA tools.
• Knowledge of EMC, safety and environmental compliance.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design and development of analog, mixed-signal & power electronics
• Develop sensor interfaces, signal conditioning, filters, amplifiers and ADC/DAC circuits
• Design DC-DC converters, power management and battery charging/management systems
• Apply SPICE simulation for design validation and optimization
• Drive board/system-level EMC/EMI design and troubleshooting
• Define PCB layout guidelines and support design verification
• Lead product development from concept through manufacturing transition
• Collaborate with global customers, suppliers and multidisciplinary engineering teams
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert and technical leader

Ideal Requirement

Strong analog, mixed-signal & power electronics design and verification

Expertise in signal conditioning, sensor interfaces, ADC/DAC and power management

Proficient in SPICE simulation, EMC/EMI design and troubleshooting

Able to define PCB layout guidelines and work with OrCAD, Cadence or Altium

Knowledge of EMC, safety and environmental compliance

Experience in AC-DC power, RF/wireless, and SI/PI is an advantage

Key Requirements

Bachelor’s/Master’s in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent

5–10 years’ product design experience in a multidisciplinary environment

Strong communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills

Fluent in English and comfortable working with international teams

Willing to undertake overseas travel when required

PhD candidates with less industry experience may be considered
