Job summary

Qualifications

• PhD in Materials Science, Polymer Science, Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or related field.
• Strong knowledge and experience in polymer and chemical analysis.
• Excellent research, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in material testing, characterization, and product development.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to collaborate with Production, Sales, customers, and external partners.
• Willing to travel for customer visits and project requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop new functional coating materials for aluminium products and applications
• Develop and evaluate new aluminium alloys and related material technologies
• Conduct research, testing, material characterization, and technical analysis to support new product development
• Identify and evaluate new technologies, materials, and industry developments for potential application in product development
• Improve existing products by balancing cost, performance, quality, and manufacturability
• Work closely with Production and Sales teams on new product development, product improvements, trials, and technical issues
• Conduct and/or coordinate polymer and chemical analysis related to coating materials
• Support the preparation of patents, technical documentation, and research findings arising from development projects
• Act as a liaison with universities and research institutions for joint development and research projects
• Communicate with customers on technical requirements, product development, testing, and product performance
