Job summary

Jora Malaysia is hiring for a contract-based import operations role in Bayan Lepas, Penang. You will handle airfreight inquiries, monitor shipments, and coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely, compliant operations.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Transportation, Business Administration or a related field is preferred.
• Candidates with relevant experience in airfreight, import operations, warehouse operations or logistics are encouraged to apply.

• Strong coordination, follow-up and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Handle and respond promptly to all airfreight import-related enquiries and follow up on necessary actions.
• Monitor import shipments and ensure all related activities are completed accurately and on time.
• Monitor shipment milestones, including Z18, Z25 and GOU, to ensure completeness and timeliness.
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure smooth and efficient import operations.
• Monitor unbilled shipment status for Bough Paper, Sold Paper and Import Customs standalone jobs.
• Perform survey intention claims to airlines when required.
• Maintain effective communication and coordination with relevant departments and stakeholders.
• Ensure operations comply with applicable quality and environmental regulations, standards and best practices.
• Support daily operations by driving productivity, ensuring smooth workflow and improving break bulk operational efficiency.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor / Manager.
