Job Summary: The Air Import Operations Supervisor is responsible managing the end-to-end air import operations to ensure timely, compliant, and cost-effective handling of shipments. This role involves coordinating with airlines, agents, customs, and customers, and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily air import operations, including shipment tracking, documentation, and clearance processes
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of import documentation such as Air Waybills (AWB), manifests, and customs declarations
• Liaise with airlines, overseas offices or agents, customs brokers, and relevant authorities (e.g., Royal Malaysian Customs Department)
• Monitor shipment status and proactively resolve delays, discrepancies, or operational issues
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, import procedures, and company SOPs
• Review and optimize operational workflows to improve efficiency and reduce costs
• Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and service recovery in a professional manner
• Support audits and ensure proper documentation and record-keeping

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in air import operations within the logistics or freight forwarding industry
• Prior supervisory or team leadership experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian import regulations, customs procedures, and air freight documentation
• Familiarity with cargo systems (e.g., CargoWise, SAP, or similar logistics software)
• Excellent communication and coordination skills
• Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
• Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia (additional languages are an advantage)
