Job summary

Japan Air Filter Group in Bukit Mertajam, Penang, is seeking a Sales and Application Engineer to understand customer requirements, recommend air filtration solutions, and prepare proposals and quotations. The role includes product demonstrations, pre- and post-sales technical support, and close collaboration with the engineering team to tailor solutions.

The position is full-time and on-site in Penang, with on-site customer visits and industry engagement to drive market development.

Qualifications

Relevant qualifications such as a diploma or degree.
Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts.
Ability to work independently on-site and travel to customer locations as required.
Prior experience in HVAC, air filtration, or industrial pollution control solutions is an added advantage.
Proficient in written and spoken in English, Malay and Mandarin is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

Support customers by understanding technical requirements and recommending suitable air filtration and pollution control solutions.
Prepare proposals and quotations for customer projects.
Conduct product demonstrations and provide pre- and post-sales technical support.
Collaborate with the engineering team to tailor solutions to customer needs.
Manage sales activities and build/maintain customer relationships.
Contribute to market development through site visits, presentations, and industry events.
Regularly report on sales performance, customer feedback, and market trends.
