Job summary

Teleperformance in Malaysia invites an AI & Automation Intern to build live automations that go live and save hours. You'll work primarily with the Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, SharePoint, Dataverse) and AI assistants like Claude and Copilot to accelerate design, build, and documentation.

We value thinking over memorization; if you can break a messy manual process into clear steps, you’ll excel.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, Data, Business Analytics, or a related field
• Strong logical and analytical thinking - translate vague problems into steps and conditions
• Hands-on familiarity with at least one: Power Automate, Power Apps, UiPath, Automation Anywhere, or similar
• Practical experience using AI assistants (Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot) to solve problems, not just for writing essays
• Comfortable with Excel beyond the basics (formulas, lookups, pivot tables)
• Good written and spoken English - will write documentation and talk to process owners
• Detail-oriented, self-directed, and comfortable asking questions when unclear
• Able to commit to the full 6 months on-site
• Nice to have: scripting (Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, Office Scripts)
• Nice to have: SQL or Dataverse/SharePoint data modelling
• Nice to have: exposure to Power BI, Forms, Graph API
• Nice to have: Microsoft certification (PL-900, PL-100, PL-500, AI-900) or RPA vendor cert
• Nice to have: GitHub/portfolio or automation write-up

Responsibilities

• Map and document existing manual processes with process owners, identify what to automate
• Build, test, and deploy automations using Power Automate, Power Apps, and SharePoint lists
• Use AI tools (Claude, Copilot) to draft logic, generate expressions, troubleshoot errors, and produce documentation
• Handle error scenarios with retries, exceptions, and notifications
• Write clear work instructions and training material for business users
• Track impact of each automation (hours saved, error rate, turnaround time) and report it
• Support the Innovation and Automation backlog: research, test new tools, and small internal projects

Overview

Join TP's Digital Services & Transformation team as an AI & Automation Intern. You'll build real automations that go live and save real hours - not shadow projects. Your main toolkit is the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, SharePoint, Dataverse), paired with AI assistants like Claude and Copilot to accelerate how you design, build, and document solutions.

We care far more about how you think than what you've already memorized. If you can break a messy manual process into clear logical steps, you'll do well here.
