Job summary

U Mobile is seeking an AI & Automation Builder to design and implement AI-driven automation for business initiatives. You will run discovery conversations with business owners on assigned projects and translate insights into a working, well-documented solution.

This role suits someone early in their career who has hands-on AI tooling experience and aims to grow into larger, more ambiguous initiatives independently, while collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 2–4 years of work experience, including at least 1 year hands-on with AI or automation building (LLM APIs, AI agent configuration, or similar).
• Preferred but mandatory for candidate with experience: requirements-gathering or process mapping and stakeholder conversations.

Responsibilities

• Runs discovery on smaller-scope or well-bounded workstreams with the business owner.
• Builds and configures AI-driven automation using LLM-based steps and low-code orchestration.
• Documents discovery findings and build decisions clearly for engineering reuse.
• Recommends automation vs AI-assist vs manual for initiatives with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Ensures documentation supports future maintenance by Tech.

Job Summary

We're looking for an AI & Automation Builder to design and build AI-driven automation on business initiatives. You'll run discovery conversations with business owners on your assigned projects, then turn what you learn into a working, well-documented solution. This role suits someone earlier in their career who's already started building hands-on with AI tools and wants to grow into running larger, more ambiguous initiatives independently.

The Day-To-Day Activities

• Runs discovery on smaller-scope or well-bounded workstreams directly with the relevant business owner.
• Builds and configures AI-driven automation — AI agent configuration, LLM-based workflow steps, low-code orchestration.
• Map out what's actually needed before building anything, documenting what's feasible and what isn't.
• Recommends the right treatment for each initiative (automate / AI-assist / manual), work closely with the Senior role, reviewing before commitment on anything ambiguous or cross-functional.
• Documents both discovery findings and build decisions clearly enough that Tech could pick it up without a rebuild.

About You

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
• 2 – 4 years of work experience, including at least 1 year hands-on with AI or automation building — LLM APIs, AI agent configuration, or similar.
• Preferred but mandatory for candidate with experience: Requirements-gathering or process mapping (i.e.: background in business analysis, product, operations, or consulting) comfortable running a stakeholder conversation without a script.
• Great communication skills and able to work directly with cross-functional and non-technical stakeholders.
• Working knowledge of REST APIs, web hooks, WABA concepts, and comfort with at least one low-code platform.
