Job summary

Boilermech Sdn Bhd is seeking a proactive Sales Engineer to handle tender processes and after-sales opportunities in the palm oil boiler sector. You will visit sites, prepare quotations, negotiate with clients, and coordinate with Sales to forecast budgets.

You will build strong customer relationships, gather market intelligence, and coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver technically sound proposals. Willingness to travel is essential, including Sabah.

Qualifications

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
• Preferably more than 3 years of related working experience in boiler industry.
• Palm oil industry exposure will be an added advantage.
• Possess valid driving license and enjoy extensive business travelling.
• Excellent negotiation and presentation skills with strong leadership and interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities

• Attend tender site visits to understand contractual requirements and engineering specifications for quotation and tender submission.
• Collaborate with Sales Managers to prepare preliminary sales forecast and budgets for each project.
• Pursue After Sales & Service sales leads and visit customers to achieve KPI and sales targets.
• Identify, research and contact prospective customers to build relationships for future sales.
• Compile market intelligence from leads, feedback, and competitor activities to shape sales strategies.
• Manage product disposition and resolve technical issues related to After Sales & Service products.
• Assist in preparing periodic management reports.
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Job description

Attend tender site visits to understand the contractual requirements including technical and engineering specifications for the purpose of quotation, biddings, tender submission, etc.

Work closely with Sales Managers to work out preliminary sales forecast and budget for each project prior to the submission of our quotation to clients.This shall include preparation of BOM take-off, technical and engineering specifications, inter-departmental and intra-departmental communication and flow of work, etc.

Responsible to pursue After Sales & Service’s sales leads, visiting existing and new customers to achieve After Sales & Service’s KPI and sales target.

Responsible to identify, research and contact prospective customers/clients to build positive business relationships that will generate future sales and repeated businesses.

Compile market intelligent through sales leads, customers feedback and competitor activities and work out sales strategies to meet the fast-changing market conditions and customer demands.

Responsible on product disposition and various technical issues relating to After Sales & Service’s product.

Assist in preparation of various periodic reports for Management’s review and information.
