Job summary

RAHMAT FIRST ENGINEERING SDN BHD is seeking an Accounts Assistant to join its finance team on a contract basis in Bandar Baru Bangi, Selangor. You will support daily financial operations and help maintain accurate records for a civil and structural engineering company.

This role requires a qualification in accounting or finance, experience in accounts, and proficiency with accounting software and Excel. You will handle AP/AR, banking reconciliations, and assist with monthly reports.

Qualifications

• A qualification in accounting, finance or a related discipline, such as an AAT qualification or equivalent.
• Proven experience in accounts or finance, ideally within an engineering or construction-related company.
• Strong proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
• Good organizational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Strong communication and collaborative skills within a team.
• Understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
• Professional discretion when handling sensitive financial information.

About the role

We are seeking an Accounts Assistant to join the finance team at RAHMAT FIRST ENGINEERING SDN BHD. This is a contract position based in Bandar Baru Bangi, Selangor. As an Accounts Assistant, you will provide essential support to our accounting department, ensuring accurate financial records and smooth day-to-day operations. • Processing and recording daily financial transactions, including invoices, receipts and payments
• Reconciling bank statements and identifying discrepancies
• Maintaining and updating accounting records and ledgers
• Assisting with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
• Preparing financial documents and statements under supervision
• Filing and organising financial documents and records systematically
• Supporting the preparation of monthly financial reports and reconciliations
• Responding to invoice queries and following up on outstanding payments
• Assisting with general administrative duties related to the finance department
