Job summary

Primechem Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking an accounting professional to manage daily accounting operations in Malaysia, entry of data in Navision and ensure closing timelines are met.

The role requires 2–3 years of related experience, familiarity with Navision and MS Office, and strong Excel skills for data organization, analysis and reporting. The candidate should be independent, a good team player with integrity and strong interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree/ Diploma/ Professional Degree in Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent.
• 2 to 3 years of working experience in related field is required.
• Familiar with Navision Accounting System & MS Office especially Excel.
• Excel skills for data organization, analysis & reporting.
• Ability to work independently as well as a good team player with high degree of self-confidence, responsibility, integrity and inter-personal skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily accounting operations and data entry in Navision within closing timeline.
• Ensure all financial transactions and accounts are prepared in accordance with applicable accounting standards and company policies.
• Process daily banking transactions including receipts, cheque/BA preparations, Giro payments and bank reconciliation.
• Handle petty cash payments & claims, expenses & utility payments.
• Liaise with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.
• Process GL transactions including recurring journal entries and related reports.
• Maintain filing system for bills, invoices, vouchers and fixed assets.
• Prepare Management Account Reports and participate in budgeting and cost management.
• Prepare Monthly SST Report after closing.
• Liaise with bankers and government bodies; coordinate with external auditors and tax agents.
• Develop and review workflows to harmonize accounting and operational policies.
