Job summary

Zebra Technologies Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking an Accounts Payable Senior to manage invoice processing, payment runs, and discrepancy resolution in a hybrid work environment. The role interfaces with Finance, Procurement and vendors to ensure timely, accurate financial processes and audit-ready documentation.

You will resolve payment inquiries, support month-end close, and train junior team members as needed, contributing to efficient accounts payable operations across the Malaysia region.

Responsibilities

• Processing invoices, check requests, expense reports, and performing payment runs in a timely and accurate manner.
• Analyzing and resolving discrepancies, month-end close journal entries, and ensuring internal and external financial procedures are followed.
• Interfacing with Finance, Procurement and vendors; handling AP mailbox queries from internal and external stakeholders.
• Assigning and monitoring general AP mailbox queries; prioritizing urgent/time sensitive queries.
• Handling complex WebQA tickets, including investigation, resolution and stakeholder communication.
• Maintaining documentation to support internal and external audits.
• Partnering with AP Processing, Procurement, IT, and business users to resolve cross-functional issues.
• Performing root cause analysis on recurring issues and driving preventive improvements.
• Training other AP team members as necessary.

What We're Looking For:

• The Accounts Payable Specialist Senior is responsible for processing invoices, check requests, expense reports, and perform payment runs in a timely and accurate manner.
• This position analyzes and resolves discrepancies, month-end close journal entries, and ensures that internal and external financial procedures are consistently followed.
• Interfaces with other areas of the business, (e.g. Finance, Procurement) as well as vendors.
• Manage general AP mailbox queries from internal and external stakeholders (e.g., statement of account and payment status enquiries).
• Assign and monitor general AP mailbox queries (e.g., priortize on urgent/time sensitive queries)
• Handle complex WebQA tickets, including investigation, resolution, and stakeholder communication.
• Maintain documentation to support internal and external audits
• Partner with AP Processing, Procurement, IT, and business users to resolve cross-functional issues (e.g., aged MIR invoices and PO-related exceptions requiring Procurement intervention).
• Perform root cause analysis on recurring issues and drive preventive improvements (e.g., coordinate with VMD to update payment remittance receivers / payment term misalignment, to reduce repetitive payment status enquiries).
• Train other AP team members as necessary.
