Job summary

Inspire Brands Asia is seeking an Accounts Payable specialist in Kuala Lumpur. The role handles bank reconciliations, vendor invoices, staff reimbursements, and ensures timely payments in line with budgets and policies.

You will liaise with banks/vendors, monitor cash flow, assist with month-end close, and support year-end audit preparations. Strong MS Office and Xero skills, plus English and Malay proficiency, are required.

Qualifications

• Diploma / Degree in Accounting or an equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 3 years working experience in account payable/accounting.
• Detailed, organized and good time management.
• Good working knowledge of MS Office – Excel, Xero Accounting System or other accounting software
• Good command in English and Bahasa Malaysia (oral and written)
• Good team player with strong sense of responsibility and interpersonal skills
• Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally
• Ability to exercise initiative and sound judgment and to react with discretion under varying conditions.
• Proactive, responsible, well-organized, planning skill and team player are required,
• Able to work under stress and in a challenging environment to deliver tasks according to deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Update all bank transactions on daily basis and perform bank reconciliation.
• Process and review vendor invoices, employee reimbursements ensuring accuracy, proper coding, and adherence to company policies and procedures with timeliness.
• Responsible for on-time processing and payment of all payment requests, including staff claim.
• Monitor and control expenses by validating invoices and ensuring they align with budgeted amounts.
• Liaise with vendors or bank directly to resolve issues as needed.
• Compile the relevant business documentation used in banking processes.
• Review and monitor monthly / weekly cash flow forecast and maintain cash liquidity for the company.
• Follows up with outstanding accounting issues.
• Ensure neat and organized filling of all finance / legal related documentation.
• Monitor bank transactions and ensure all transactions are accurately posted.
• Perform monthly and yearly closing activities.
• Perform supplier statement reconciliation, investigate, and follow up to reduce discrepancies.
• Prepare schedules for year-end audit purpose.
• Undertake ad-hoc assignments and prepare accounting reports as directed by the supervisor.
