Job summary

HDL SOLUTIONS SDN BHD is seeking an Account Assistant – Accounts Payable to join our Finance team. You will manage day-to-day AP tasks, process supplier invoices, payments and reconciliations, and ensure accuracy and timeliness.

The ideal candidate has a Diploma/Degree in Accounting or Finance, basic accounting knowledge, proficiency in Excel, and familiarity with AutoCount is a plus. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Fresh graduates with relevant qualifications are encouraged to apply.
• Good understanding of basic accounting principles and double-entry bookkeeping.
• Familiarity with accounting software; experience with AutoCount is an advantage.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organisational and time-management skills.
• Able to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Responsible, proactive and willing to learn.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full Accounts Payable process from invoice receipt to payment.
• Verify supplier invoices against Purchase Orders, Delivery Orders and other supporting documents.
• Ensure invoices are properly reviewed, coded and recorded in the accounting system.
• Prepare payment vouchers and payment schedules for management approval.
• Monitor AP ageing and ensure payments are made according to agreed payment terms.
• Perform supplier statement reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain proper filing and documentation of invoices and payment records.
• Liaise with suppliers regarding invoices, statements, payments and account discrepancies.
• Assist in month-end closing activities and prepare AP-related schedules and supporting documents for monthly reporting.
