AIDA MANUFACTURING (ASIA) SDN. BHD. is seeking an Accounts Officer with hands-on experience in manufacturing costing and inventory accounting to join our team in Pasir Gudang, Johor.

We are looking for an analytical and detail-oriented Accounts Officer with hands‑on experience in manufacturing costing, inventory accounting or cost analysis.
This position will be responsible for product costing, standard cost and variance analysis, inventory reconciliation, WIP and Job Order monitoring, fixed asset management and month‑end closing activities.
The successful candidate will work closely with Production, Purchasing, Store, Engineering and MIS/IT departments to ensure accurate costing, inventory records and financial reporting.
Candidates with practical experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly in product costing, BOM review, inventory valuation and cost variance analysis, will be given priority.
Prepare, maintain and update product and manufacturing costing.
Perform standard costing and compare actual production costs against standard costs.
Analyse material, labour, machine and manufacturing overhead cost variances.
Review Bill of Materials (BOM), production costs and Job Order costing.
Investigate significant costing variances and coordinate corrective follow‑up with the relevant departments.
Prepare monthly costing, cost variance and management analysis reports.
Support annual budgeting, periodic forecasting and product profitability analysis.
Assist in reviewing costing methods, allocation bases and cost‑control processes.
Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records and inventory valuation.
Perform monthly inventory reconciliation between the ERP system, accounting records and supporting inventory reports.
Analyse inventory variances and investigate discrepancies with Store, Production, PPC and other relevant departments.
Monitor raw materials, Work‑in‑Progress (WIP) and finished goods inventory.
Monitor slow‑moving, excess, aged and obsolete inventory and prepare the relevant analysis reports.
Monitor aged, outstanding and unclosed Job Orders and coordinate the necessary follow‑up actions.
Support periodic physical stock counts, cycle counts and year‑end inventory activities.
Review stock‑count results and ensure that differences are properly investigated, documented and adjusted.
Assist in strengthening inventory controls and improving inventory reporting accuracy.
Maintain and update the fixed asset register and related supporting records.
Ensure that asset additions, transfers, disposals and depreciation are properly recorded.
Coordinate periodic physical verification of fixed assets and asset tagging.
Reconcile the fixed asset register against the general ledger.
Ensure that fixed asset transactions are supported by proper documentation and receive the appropriate accounting treatment.
Assist in preparing fixed asset schedules for management and audit purposes.
Support monthly, quarterly and year‑end financial closing activities.
Prepare account reconciliations, journal entries and supporting schedules.
Ensure that costing, inventory and fixed asset transactions are accurately recorded within the required timeline.
Assist in preparing financial information and supporting documents for management reporting.
Support internal and external auditors by preparing the required schedules, reconciliations and supporting documents.
Follow up on audit findings relating to costing, inventory and fixed assets.
Work closely with Production, PPC, Purchasing, Store, Engineering, MIS/IT and other departments on costing and inventory matters.
Communicate financial findings and operational variances clearly to the relevant departments.
Participate in ERP system enhancement, data‑validation and finance‑related improvement projects.
Assist in reviewing and improving costing, inventory and accounting procedures.
Perform other accounting and finance‑related duties assigned by the superior or Management.

Practical experience in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
Candidates should have hands‑on experience in at least one or more of the following areas:
Product or manufacturing costing;
Standard costing and cost variance analysis;
Inventory accounting, reconciliation and valuation;
Work‑in‑Progress accounting;
BOM or Job Order costing; or
Fixed asset accounting.
Good understanding of accounting principles, inventory valuation and financial reporting.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, lookup functions and data analysis.
Experience using an ERP, manufacturing accounting or inventory management system is preferred.
Strong numerical, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
Detail‑oriented, organised and able to maintain accurate records.
Able to investigate variances and identify the underlying causes of discrepancies.
Able to work independently and complete assignments within the required timeline.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Able to communicate and coordinate effectively with Finance and non‑Finance departments.
Good command of written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.
