Job summary

Agensi Pekerjaan Executive Recruiters is seeking an Accounts Manager in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. You will oversee the full finance function, manage month-end and year-end closing, and liaise with auditors and tax advisors.

Qualifications

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years working experience, preferably in Retail Fashion & Accessories.
• Self-motivated, responsible, independent, meticulous, and able to work under pressure.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to present financial information.
• Must speak and read Mandarin.
• Knowledge of accounting standards, statutory requirements and tax compliance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee comprehensive finance and accounting functions and ensure regulatory compliance.

• Execute additional tasks as assigned by superiors.
• Review financial performance to identify improvements, cost optimization, and system upgrades.

Job Description

• Act as the primary liaison with external auditors, tax consultants, bankers, creditors, debtors, government authorities, and other relevant parties on financial and accounting matters.
• Execute additional tasks and duties as assigned by superiors when necessary.
• Review and assess financial performance to identify areas for enhancement, cost optimization, system upgrades, and operational improvements.
• Oversee key financial functions, including taxation, cash flow management, budgeting, financial analysis, variance assessment, and process improvements.
• Design, plan, and implement accounting and financial policies and procedures, ensuring continuous improvement.
• Handle full-cycle accounting, including month-end and year-end closing activities, journal entries, and timely submission of financial reports to Management.
• Prepare Monthly, Quarterly, and Yearly Management Reports.

Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years working experience and preferably in Retail Fashion & Accessories Industry.
• Self-motivated, strong sense of responsibility, Independent, meticulous and be able to work under pressure and tight deadline.
