Job summary

Perfect Pentagon Sdn Bhd, based in Petaling Jaya, is seeking an Accounting Assistant to support AR, AP, GL, and reporting. The role requires 1–3 years' experience, a Diploma/Degree in accounting, and proficiency in SQL Financial Software, AutoCount, UBS, MYOB, or SAP, plus strong MS Excel.

You will handle reconciliations, tax compliance, and coordination with auditors and tax agents. Excellent written and spoken English, Bahasa Malaysia, or Mandarin is preferred to liaise with our diverse client

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, ACCA or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of accounting/finance operations or full set accounting experience.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel; good understanding of local tax practices.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day full set or partial accounts functions including Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and General Ledger (GL).
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, management reports and closing schedules accurately and on time.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations, supplier statement reconciliations, and inter-company adjustments.
• Prepare tax computations, monitor SST/GST filings, and ensure full compliance with local tax regulations.
• Issue invoices, debit/credit notes, official receipts, and monitor outstanding receivables for timely collections.
• Verify and process supplier payments, petty cash claims, staff expense claims and disbursement vouchers.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, company secretaries and banking institutions for audits and statutory requirements.
• Maintain systematic filing and documentation of financial records in compliance with accounting standards.
• Perform other finance and administrative duties or ad hoc tasks as assigned by management.
