Job summary

BONG CL & CO is seeking an Account Executive in Malaysia to handle AP/AR, invoicing, reconciliations, and monthly closings. You will prepare financial reports, manage tax compliance, and liaise with auditors and tax agents.

A Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and proficiency in SQL Accounting, AutoCount, Xero, QuickBooks, and Excel are required. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are essential

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SQL Accounting, AutoCount, Xero, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good organizational and time-management skills, able to meet deadlines
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving ability
• Good communication skills for liaising with vendors, clients, and internal teams
• Integrity and ability to handle confidential financial information
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Process and record accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) transactions
• Prepare and issue invoices, credit notes, and payment vouchers
• Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow
• Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring transactions are properly classified
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing, including journal entries and accruals
• Prepare monthly financial reports, schedules, and management accounts
• Handle statutory filings and liaise with auditors, tax agents, and company secretaries
• Ensure compliance with SST/GST, withholding tax, and other tax regulations
• Follow up on outstanding payments and manage supplier/customer accounts
• Maintain proper filing and documentation of financial records for audit purposes
