Job summary

Hytech is seeking an Account Assistant Manager/Manager in Kuala Lumpur to ensure accuracy of financial records and efficient accounting operations. You will prepare monthly management accounts, budgets, and oversee daily operations including GL, AP, AR, intercompany, and tax compliance.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance with 6+ years of experience, leadership in a small finance team, and strong English and Chinese communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA/ACCA/CMA is a plus.
• At least 6 years of working experience in finance and accounting.
• Experience in brokerage, financial services, or fintech is preferred.
• Leadership experience in managing a small finance team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with accounting software.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous, organized approach.
• Ability to take initiative, work under pressure, meet deadlines, and be a strong team player.
• Strong verbal and written communication in English and Chinese.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly management accounts and annual financial statements in MPERS, MFRS, or IFRS.
• Prepare annual budgets and rolling forecasts, perform variance analysis, and provide insights.
• Manage daily accounting operations including AP, AR, GL, intercompany, and bank reconciliations.
• Ensure tax regulation compliance and review tax computations and submissions.
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and stakeholders for accurate reporting.
• Enhance internal controls and drive improvements in processes and policies.
• Assist in new process creation and system implementations, including automation projects.
• Coordinate with departments to meet financial objectives.
• Perform related tasks as assigned by Finance Manager or senior management.
