Job summary

Acacia Motor Services Sdn Bhd in Pasir Gudang, Johor, is seeking a capable accountant to manage full sets of accounts, month-end closing, and financial reporting. The role requires attention to detail and the ability to monitor AP/AR while coordinating inter-company reconciliations.

You will liaise with audits and tax matters (SST and Withholding Tax), ensure tax submissions are timely, and drive automation to improve end-to-end processes in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Finance/Accountancy or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of working experience in the related field.
• SST required for this position.
• Manufacturing industry experience is preferred.
• Experience in accounting firm or audit firm environment is an added advantage.
• Able to handle full set and finalized accounts is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day general ledger accounting, closing, and financial reporting and analysis on timely and accurate basis.
• Monitor AP and AR and prepare inter-company monthly reconciliation.
• Ensure regulations, standards, company policies and delegation of authority are being followed.
• Drive automation and simplification in processes and continuously improve end-to-end processes.
• Independently prioritize daily tasks and responsibilities.
• Liaise with audits and tax matters, preparation of SST and Withholding Tax submission.
• Ensure compliance of tax submission deadline.
• Manage data, record, and reports by checking for errors and verifying accuracy of information.
• Assume responsibility for implementing internal audit recommendations as necessary.
• Perform multi-task and assist in ad-hoc duties.

About you
