Job summary

CGL GLOBAL TRADING & SERVICES SDN BHD is seeking an experienced accounting professional to manage full sets of accounts including GL, AP and AR, ensuring compliance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards. You will prepare monthly and year-end reports and assist with cash flow forecasts.

Role requires 2-3 years of relevant experience, strong AutoCount and Excel proficiency, and fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma, Advanced Diploma, or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, ACCA, LCCI, or equivalent professional qualification.
• 2-3 years of working experience handling full sets of accounts.
• Experience in trading, construction, or mining service backgrounds is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage full sets of accounts (GL, AP, AR) in compliance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements and cash flow projections.
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, and bankers to ensure smooth annual audits.

CGL GLOBAL TRADING & SERVICES SDN BHD - Sunway, Selangor

Full-Set Accounting: Manage, prepare, and close full sets of accounts (GL, AP, AR) in compliance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards.

Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements, management reports, and cash flow projections.

Taxation & Compliance: Compute, prepare, and submit statutory tax filings including Sales & Service Tax (SST), corporate tax computations, and withholding tax requirements.

Bank & Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Conduct monthly bank reconciliations, monitor aging reports (creditors/debtors), and manage intercompany transactions.

Audit & Operational Support: Liaise directly with external auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, and bankers to ensure smooth annual audit closures.

Job Requirements

Education: Minimum Diploma, Advanced Diploma, or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, ACCA, LCCI, or equivalent professional qualification.

Experience: 2-3 years of working experience handling full sets of accounts (candidates from trading, construction, or mining service backgrounds will have an added advantage).

Software Proficiency: Strong hands-on proficiency in AutoCount accounting software is required, along with advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).

Language Proficiency: Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia (both written and spoken).

Core Competencies: Strong analytical mindset, high accuracy in numerical data, independent problem-solver, and capable of meeting tight reporting deadlines.
