XL FOODS SDN BHD in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an accounting assistant to support day-to-day financial activities, month-end close, reconciliations, and reporting. The role requires attention to detail and the ability to work independently or in a team.
Candidates with a Diploma or Bachelor’s in Finance or Accountancy are welcome, fresh graduates are encouraged, and familiarity with Excel and AutoCount is a bonus. Mandarin is an added advantage for liaising with clients.

Assist in maintaining the full set of accounts and support month-end and year-end closing activities.
Record and process daily financial transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
Prepare payment vouchers and assist in payments to suppliers and other parties.
Perform bank reconciliations and assist with other account reconciliations.
Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and schedules for management review.
Maintain proper documentation and filing of accounting records to support audits and compliance.
Liaise with external parties such as auditors, tax agents, bankers, suppliers, and company secretary as required.
Assist in budget preparation, cash flow monitoring, and other finance-related tasks.
Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and statutory requirements.
Perform any other ad-hoc finance and accounting duties assigned by management.
Possess at least a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accountancy, or equivalent.
Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Candidates with 1–2 years of relevant accounting experience will have an added advantage.
Basic knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software. Experience with AutoCount Accounting System is an added advantage.
Good analytical, organizational, and time management skills with attention to detail.
Able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Willing to travel occasionally when required.
Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Knowledge of Mandarin is an added advantage.
Candidates who are able to communicate in Mandarin are preferred as the role may involve liaising with Mandarin-speaking clients.
Honest, responsible, willing to learn, and able to work under minimal supervision.
