Job summary

Jawat Johan Sdn Bhd in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, is hiring an Accounts Assistant/Executive for a full-time role within our finance team. You will process invoices, manage the full set of accounts, and maintain the Fixed Asset Register to support accurate financial records.

The ideal candidate has a Diploma or Degree, 5 years closing final accounts experience, and proficiency in SQL Accounting and MS Excel. Bahasa Malaysia and English are required; Mandarin is a plus.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree preferred.
• Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and English; Mandarin a plus.
• At least 5 years of experience closing final accounts.
• Proficient in SQL Accounting and MS Excel.

Responsibilities

• Process invoices, payment vouchers, and petty cash claims.
• Handle full set of accounts (GL, AP, AR, Bank Reconciliation) up to Trial Balance/Management Accounts.
• Maintain Fixed Asset Register and asset transactions.
• Filing and audit trail documentation.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting.
• Prepare E-INV/SST returns accurately.
• Coordinate with auditors, tax agents, and company secretaries.
• Perform ad hoc assignments as required.
