Job summary

GPL Group of Companies is seeking a qualified Accountant to manage full-set accounts and deliver monthly financial and management reports from Kuchai Lama or Solaris Mont Kiara. You will contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls while working in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires 4 years of accounting experience, proficiency in Excel and accounting software, and fluency in English and Mandarin to liaise with clients and partners.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Degree in Finance/Accounting/Banking or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years of working experience with reporting knowledge; F&B accounting is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word; knowledge of accounting software and QuickBooks is advantageous.
• Strong ethics, confidentiality, and ability to work under pressure with teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Handle full-set accounts and all aspects of monthly financial and management reporting, budgetary controls, forecasting, etc.
• Perform monthly system reconciliation and inter-co-reconciliation.
• Ensure journal entries and ledgers (GL, AR, and AP) are recorded accurately and promptly.
• Record and process all business transactions using double-entry accounting.
• Maintain audit schedules monthly and ensure schedules tally with accounting records.
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers, etc. on work-related matters.
• Supervise and mentor junior staff; provide training.
• Provide supporting documentation for audits.
