OCK Group is seeking an Accounts Executive to join our finance team. The candidate will manage daily accounting operations, monthly closings, financial reporting, tax matters, and inter-company reconciliations while coordinating with internal teams.
Proficiency in Sage and SQL Accounting, along with MS Excel, is preferred. Role requires 3–4 years of experience, a degree in Accounting, and the ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
We are looking for a responsible, detail-oriented, and proactive Accounts Executive to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing daily accounting operations, monthly closing, financial reporting, tax matters, audit coordination, and inter-company reconciliations.
Perform daily accounting operations and ensure all accounting records are updated accurately and on a timely basis.
Maintain and update the cash book and ensure bank statements are properly reconciled with the cash book.
Handle daily accounting functions using the company’s accounting systems, including Sage and SQL Accounting.
Manage Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and credit control activities.
Maintain accurate records of inter-company transactions, including trade receivables, trade payables, and inter-company loans.
Perform monthly inter-company balance reconciliations and follow up on outstanding differences.
Prepare and update the Related Party Transaction (RPT) report and monthly consolidation data files.
Prepare the company’s monthly Management Accounts and financial statement analysis by the 7th of each calendar month.
Perform monthly closing activities, including account reconciliations and variance analysis.
Prepare regular and ad hoc financial reports as required by management.
Handle and update Sales and Service Tax (SST) transactions and related records.
Assist with tax-related matters and provide relevant information and documentation when required.
Maintain and update the fixed asset register/listing.
Assist with external and internal audit requirements, including preparation of schedules and supporting documents.
Prepare for year-end audit and tax.
Ensure accounting records and supporting documents are properly maintained and filed.
Perform other ad hoc accounting and administrative duties assigned from time to time.
Bachelor's Degree/diploma/certificate in Accounting or equivalent
Computer literate in Microsoft Office, Sage accounting system and SQL accounting system
Able to work independently, with initiative, multi-tasking and responsibility
Committed, proactive, able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines and produce work accurately in timely manner
Practical knowledge of MS Excel (pivot table, basic formula) and Accounting basic knowledge
Knowledge of trading, supply chain, project management, Telco/M&E material knowledge is added advantage
Required oral languages: Mandarin, English, Bahasa Malaysia
Possess own transport
At least 3 to 4 years working experience
