Job summary

JST Smart Technology Malaysia Sdn Bhd – Seremban, Negeri Sembilan is seeking an Accounts Executive to manage the accounts payable process and support daily accounting operations.

You will ensure accurate supplier invoicing, timely payments, and proper filing, with exposure to SAP and the full set of accounts. The role reports to the Finance Controller and requires 1–3 years’ experience and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• 1 to 3 years of relevant working experience in accounting.
• Hands-on experience in Accounts Payable (AP) is required.
• Experience in SAP system will be an added advantage.
• Exposure to full set of accounts will be an advantage.
• Good understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Detail-oriented, responsible, and able to meet deadlines.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle accounts payable functions including verification, processing, and recording of supplier invoices.
• Ensure invoices are properly supported with documents such as purchase orders and delivery orders.
• Prepare and process supplier payments in accordance with the company’s payment schedule.
• Perform supplier statement reconciliation and investigate discrepancies when necessary.
• Maintain accurate and organized filing of accounting documents and records.
• Liaise with suppliers and internal departments to resolve invoice and payment issues.
• Assist in month-end closing activities, including reconciliation of accounts and preparation of supporting schedules.
• Ensure compliance with the company’s accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Carry out additional tasks as assigned by superiors.

This role ensures accurate processing of supplier invoices, timely payments, and proper maintenance of accounting records. The position will also assist the Finance Controller in month-end closing and other accounting activities. Experience with SAP system and exposure to full set of accounts will be an added advantage.
