Job summary

Global Cold Chain Solutions in Malaysia is seeking a skilled accountant to manage the full set of accounts (AP/AR/GL) and support month-end and year-end close processes. The role involves preparing monthly management accounts and ensuring timely financial reporting.

The candidate should have 2–3 years of relevant experience, be adept at month-end close, and familiar with SysFreight System. Experience in logistics or freight forwarding is a plus.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
• 2–3 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.
• Experience in handling full set of accounts.
• Experience in month-end closing and preparation of financial reports.

Responsibilities

• Handle full set of accounts, including AP, AR and GL.
• Perform month-end and year-end closing activities.

• Process supplier invoices and arrange supplier payments.
• Monitor outstanding customer balances and collect on overdue accounts.

• Assist in monitoring cash flow and bank balances.

This role involves managing the full set of accounts including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR) and General Ledger (GL), with responsibility for month-end and year-end closing activities, financial reporting, and ensuring accurate and timely accounting records.

Key responsibilities

Handle full set of accounts, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR) and General Ledger (GL)

Perform month-end and year-end closing activities accurately and within the required timeline

Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports

Prepare and submit financial reports to the Singapore office in accordance with the required reporting timeline

Process supplier invoices and ensure all supporting documents and approvals are complete

Prepare and arrange supplier payments in accordance with the company's payment schedule

Monitor outstanding customer balances and follow up on collections where necessary

Handle payment discrepancies, contra arrangements and other reconciliation matters

Liaise closely with the Operations team and other departments to ensure invoices and supporting documents are submitted to Finance on a timely basis

Assist in monitoring company cash flow and bank balances

About you

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field

Minimum 2–3 years of relevant working experience in accounting, finance or a similar role

Experience in handling full set of accounts

Experience in month-end closing and preparation of financial reports

Experience in using SysFreight System will be an added advantage

Candidates with experience in the freight forwarding, logistics or related industry will be an added advantage
