Job summary

Skyways Technics Asia Sdn. Bhd. is seeking an accounting professional to manage full set accounts in a fast-paced environment in Malaysia.

You will handle journal entries, accruals, and prepayments, perform reconciliations, and assist in audits, tax computations, and inter-company activity. The role also covers AP/AR duties, vendor invoice matching, payments, and customer invoicing, with a focus on accuracy and timely reporting.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain general ledgers and perform journal entries, accruals, and prepayments.
• Handle full-cycle month-end and year-end closing.
• Conduct monthly bank, balance sheet and inter-company reconciliations.

• Assist in GP margin analysis and closing activities.
• Match invoices with POs and process supplier payments.
• Issue sales invoices, monitor customer aging, and reconcile customer accounts.

Job description

Full set accounting for a growing company using Auto Count accounting system.

Maintain the general ledge by performing accurate journal entries, accruals, and prepayments.

Accountable for full-cycle month-end and year-end closing activities.

Conduct monthly bank, balance sheet and inter-company reconciliations.

Assist in preparing audit schedules, tax computations and other compliance filings.

Assist in GP margin analysis and closing activities.

Accounts Payable (AP)

Match vendor invoices with purchase orders and receiving logs.

Process supplier payments via TT or GIRO.

Reconcile monthly vendor statements and general ledger accounts.

Resolve billing discrepancies with suppliers and internal departments.

Accounts Receivable (AR)

Issue sales invoices, credit notes and debit notes accurately.

Monitor customer aging reports with credit controller, supporting on collection of overdue.

Perform customer account and bank receipt reconciliations.

Requirements & Qualifications:

Reporting to the Finance Manager, with access to the Finance Director.

Ambitious with a hunger for learning, development and career progression.

At least 2 years of working experience in handling full set accounts.

Must possess at least a Diploma or Degree in Accountancy with professional qualifications.

Fast-paced environment with opportunity for suggestions to be implemented.

Initiative and independence are valued skills for this role.

Technical skills requirement: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and experience with accounting software or ERP systems (e.g., Auto Count, Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).
