Job summary

SWIFT GROUP OF COMPANIES is seeking an accounting professional to manage monthly closing, general ledger, and financial reporting. The role involves preparing and reviewing management reports and group consolidation schedules, with strong emphasis on accuracy and deadlines.

You will liaise with internal teams and external auditors, and support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Based in Bukit Beruntung, this role offers growth within the finance department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
• ACCA/CPA/CIMA or equivalent professional qualification.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards.
• Experience with month-end closing, reconciliations and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

Job description

Handle accounting and financial reporting activities, including month-end closing, general ledger, and preparation of financial reports.

Assist in the preparation and review of management reports, financial statements, and group consolidation schedules.

Perform account reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations, and follow up on outstanding discrepancies.

Ensure accurate and timely submission of financial information in accordance with reporting deadlines.

Assist in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis where required.

Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, company policies, internal controls, and reporting requirements.

Liaise with internal departments, subsidiaries, and external auditors on accounting and financial matters.

Participate in process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting and accounting processes.

Job Requirements

Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, or a recognised professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent).

Relevant working experience in accounting, finance, financial reporting, or audit. Candidates with audit experience will have an added advantage.

Good understanding of accounting principles and applicable financial reporting standards.

Experience in month-end closing, account reconciliations, financial reporting, or consolidation will be an advantage.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with accounting or financial reporting systems.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with good attention to detail.

Able to work independently as well as collaboratively with different teams and business units.

Able to manage multiple tasks and meet tight reporting deadlines.

Candidates will be considered for the Executive or Senior Executive position based on their qualifications, relevant experience, and competencies.

Candidates must be willing to be based at Bukit Beruntung, Rawang
