Job summary

Roystar Travel & Tours Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. The role covers AP, AR, bank reconciliations, and general ledger activities to support day-to-day operations.

You will handle invoices, expense claims, and month-end procedures, work with Excel and accounting software, and ensure compliance with company policies. This on-site, full-time position offers training and opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

• Diploma or LCCI certificate in accounting or related field.
• Degree is an advantage but not mandatory.
• Minimum 1-2 years in a similar accounting role.
• Fresh graduates with internship welcome.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential.
• Experience with AutoCount, SQL Accounting or UBS is a plus.
• Knowledge of travel industry accounting is a plus.
• Strong command of English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices, verify documents, and prepare payments.
• Issue invoices/receipts, monitor overdue payments, and follow up collections.
• Perform daily/monthly bank reconciliations with the GL.
• Process staff expense claims and ensure policy compliance.
• Post journal entries and maintain the general ledger.
• Maintain organized filing of financial records (physical and electronic).
• Provide admin support to the finance team including data entry and liaison with suppliers/clients.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and company policies.
