Job summary

BYON FLASH SUITES & HOTELS SDN. BHD. is seeking an Account Assistant to join the Finance Team in Malaysia. You will assist in preparing schedules, review AP/AR, and support the preparation of full set accounts including journal entries, GL, and financial statements.

The role involves bank reconciliations and maintaining fixed asset records, with opportunities to contribute to management reports and financial analysis. Mandarin is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 1–3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Familiar with accounting systems e.g. SQL, Autocount, UBS and Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing accounting schedules and listings (deposits, fixed assets, accruals, prepayments, FX, month-end schedules).
• Review AP/AR transactions for accuracy.
• Prepare full set of accounts (journal entries, GL, trial balance, P&L, balance sheet).
• Perform bank reconciliation and follow up on outstanding items.
• Maintain fixed asset records, additions, disposals, depreciation.
