Jora Malaysia is seeking a senior finance leader to oversee daily accounting operations in Kuala Lumpur, ensuring transactions are recorded accurately and in line with policies.
You will supervise a team of Accounts Executives, manage AR/AP, monthly closings, audits, and provide financial insights to support strategic decisions and strengthen internal controls. Candidates with ACCA/CPA/MIA and 7+ years of experience are preferred.

Lead and oversee the company’s daily accounting operations, ensuring all payment and receipt transactions are verified, recorded accurately, and compliant with financial policies and statutory requirements.
Supervise and mentor a team of Accounts Executives, guiding them in AR/AP management, expense claims processing, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Review and approve employee expense reimbursement claims, ensuring compliance with company policies and tax regulations.
Monitor and manage Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP), including follow-ups on outstanding balances and resolution of abnormal aging items.
Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data by working closely with business departments and cross-functional teams.
Provide financial insights and data support to management, enabling informed business decisions and operational efficiency.
Oversee preparation and posting of monthly accruals, provisions, and cost allocations, ensuring proper revenue and expense matching under accrual accounting principles.
Lead monthly and annual closing processes, ensuring timely reconciliations, financial analysis, and preparation of accurate financial reports.
Consolidate and review financial and management reports in line with group reporting timelines, delivering key insights to senior management.
Drive process improvements by actively identifying opportunities to optimize internal financial workflows, enhance reporting quality, and strengthen internal controls.
Coordinate external audits and manage relationships with auditors, tax agents, and regulatory authorities to ensure smooth audit completion and compliance.
Take ownership of special finance projects, including system upgrades, automation initiatives, and strategic financial analysis.
Perform other leadership duties as assigned by senior management.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, MIA or equivalent are strongly preferred.
Minimum 7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or team lead role.
Proven track record in managing full-set accounts, general ledger, monthly closing, and financial statement preparation.
Hands-on experience in annual audit management, including liaising with external auditors and regulators.
Strong knowledge of Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, advanced formulas, data analysis) and Microsoft Office applications.
Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle; experience with Kingdee or Yonyou systems will be an added advantage.
Candidates with experience in the courier, logistics, or transportation industry will be highly preferred.
Excellent analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
