Job summary

AGENSI PEKERJAAN STAR GLOBAL SDN. BHD. is seeking an Accounting Manager in Kuala Lumpur to lead financial reporting and ensure tax compliance across entities.

The role requires strong technical accounting skills and ability to coordinate with auditors and tax agents. The ideal candidate will have a recognized accounting degree (ACCA preferred), at least 5 years of relevant experience, and fluency in English and Chinese to liaise with Chinese-speaking counterparts.

Qualifications

• Recognized degree in Accounting or related field.
• ACCA or professional qualification is an advantage.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Fluency in English; Chinese language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Handle full set of accounts and generate monthly finance reports.
• Prepare accounting schedules, reconciliations, and cashflow reports.
• Ensure tax compliance and timely submission of GST where applicable.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax agents and regulatory authorities.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting and financial audits.
• Maintain integrity of financial data and compliance with laws.

About the role

Due to expansion, we are currently looking for capable and experienced candidates for an Accounting Manager role to play a crucial role in an organization's financial management and reporting. This full-time position is based in Kuala Lumpur and will involve a range of responsibilities to ensure the company's financial operations are efficient and compliant.

Jobs Descriptions

• Handle full set of accounts and generate monthly finance reports; Familiar in tax, budget, forecast.
• Preparation of accounting schedules, reconciliation of accounts, management & cashflow reports
• Ensure financial reports and information are in compliance with relevant tax agencies;
• Quarterly Goods and Services Tax (GST) preparation and submission
• Handle corporate and personal tax compliance work
• Prepare for financial audit and coordinate the audit process
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations and integrity of financial data
• Prepare accurate monthly and annual operating budgets;
• Coordinate and liaise with parties such as external auditors, tax agents, corporate secretarial agents, and local tax and government authorities where required
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Job Requirements

• Recognized relevant Degree and/or relevant Post Graduate/Professional Qualification in Accounting/Tax, ACCA
• Positive Attitude, highly motivated, flexible, and possess good interpersonal skills
• Meticulous and sharp in details
• Knowledge or experience handling Family Office setup is preferable
• Proficient in both English and Chinese language (spoken and written) – as the incumbent will need to liaise with Chinese speaking counterparts.
• Able to work independently and work under tight timelines
• Familiar in using Excel to perform complex calculations, like amortization tables and depreciation schedules
