Job summary

ASMPT MALAYSIA SDN. BHD. is seeking a finance professional to maintain and submit monthly, quarterly and annual statements.

The role supports cost control, inventory cycle counts and budgeting. You will review GL balances, assist audits, and collaborate with operations to ensure accurate product costing in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. The ideal candidate has a degree in accountancy or professional qualification and at least 3 years in a manufacturing setting, with SAP experience

Qualifications

• Degree in Accountancy or professional accounting qualification (CIMA/CA/ACCA) or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of working experience in manufacturing environment.
• SAP experience is an added advantage.
• Able to work independently and in a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and submit monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements and reporting.
• Perform variance analysis, corporate reporting, and ad hoc reports.
• Support cost control and cycle counts for inventory.
• Participate in budgeting and product costing.
• Review inventory, plan annual stock takes.
• Close monthly General Ledger, prepare journal entries, accruals, provisions.
• Review GL accounts for unusual balances and variances.
• Support statutory/internal audits with schedules and GL documents.
• Plan work to meet deadlines and manage related tasks.
• Undertake other duties as directed.

Job description

Working as part of the finance team, responsible for one of the Business segment Income Statement.

Effectively maintenance and timely submission for all monthly/ quarterly/ annual financial statement, variance analysis report, corporate reporting, and others ad hoc reporting.

Support operation team in term of cost controlling, conducting periodical cycle count exercise for physical inventory.

Involve in Budget process as well as product costing.

Reviewing inventory status and organize annual stock take activities.

Perform monthly General Ledger closing activities, including preparation and posting of journal entries, accruals, provisions and reclassifications.

Review General Ledger accounts and investigate unusual balances or variances to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial records.

Support statutory audit, internal audit and compliance requirements by preparing schedules and providing relevant General Ledger supporting documents.

Plan and schedule work to meet deadlines established to ensure the completion of several related tasks.

To undertake other related jobs from time to time directed by superior.
