Job summary

Agensi Pekerjaan Quintus Search Sdn Bhd is seeking a detail-oriented Cost Accountant to support financial reporting and costing in a manufacturing environment.

The role requires at least 3 years in cost accounting, a degree in accounting, and SAP proficiency. You will collaborate with groups across departments, contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and quarterly standard costing, and ensure strong internal controls. Experience in FMCG or manufacturing is preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting or related finance qualification.
• Minimum 3 years in cost accounting or accounting.
• SAP experience is required; FMCG/manufacturing background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounting functions of Accounts Receivable and Credit Control.
• Coordinate period-end closing activities including journal review and costing.
• Update standard cost on a quarterly basis and coordinate with related departments.
• Prepare, review and analyse monthly P&L by channel.
• Assist the Group Finance Manager in providing information for Transfer Pricing Documentation.
• Prepare P&L simulations for new product development (NPD).
• Work with external and internal audit teams and handle audit queries.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting.
• Ensure strong internal controls and drive improvements within the team.
• Prepare, review and analyse monthly manufacturing reports including margins and production variances.
• Undertake ad-hoc tasks assigned by superior or management.

Responsibilities:-

• Manage accounting functions of Accounts Receivable and Credit Control.
• Assist the Finance Manager in coordinating period-end closing activities including journal review, costing settlement etc
• Update standard cost on quarterly basis and coordinate the activity with related departments.
• Prepare, review and analyse monthly Profit & Loss (P&L) by channel.
• Assist the Group Finance Manager in providing information for Transfer Pricing Documentation.
• Prepare P&L simulation for new product development (NPD) as and when required.
• Working with external and internal audit teams and managing relevant requests/queries related to the audit.
• Assist in the preparation of budgeting and forecasting.
• Involved in ensuring strong internal controls and overseeing improvements within the team.
• Prepare, review and analyse monthly manufacturing reports including margin overheads and production variance.
• To undertake any ad-hoc tasks assigned by superior or management from time to time.

Requirements-

• Degree in Accounting/Bachelor's Degree and/or professional qualifications in Finance/Accounting
• Minimum 3 years of experience in cost accounting and/or accounting position
• Preferable with FMCG or manufacturing background
• In-depth knowledge of financial reporting standards and tax regulations.
• Knowledge in SAP is required.
