Job summary

Stream Empire Holdings Sdn Bhd, based in Malaysia, seeks an experienced accounting professional to assist in monthly management accounts, financial reports, and Board papers while supporting annual budgets and forecasts. You will ensure compliance with Malaysia Accounting standards and maintain full set of accounts, including AP/AR/GL and reconciliations.

The role requires a degree in Accountancy and 3–5 years of experience, with proactive, detail-oriented work style and strong time-management

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years of working experience.
• Proactive, detail oriented and able to work in a fast pace working environment.
• Ability to meet multiple deadlines from varying sources.
• Ability to interpret financial information and processes to non-financial personnel.
• Ability to plan and prioritise work with time management skill.
• Ability to communicate and support the business with positive attitude.
• Knowledge of SQL accounting software or ERP system will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge in full set of accounts.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, financial reports, and Board papers in a timely and accurate manner.
• Support in annual budget preparation, forecasting, and financial projection exercises.
• Ensure accounting records and financial transactions are properly maintained in compliance with Malaysia Accounting standards and company policies.
• Handle full set of accounts, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, journal entries, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and review balance sheet schedules and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
• Assist in the preparation of statutory financial statements and coordinate with external auditors during audit assignments.
• Support tax compliance matters, including tax filings and SST matters where required.
• Monitor and maintain the reliability and accuracy of the accounting system and financial data.
• Assist in managing cash flow, working capital, and payment planning to support operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standard operating procedures, and company policies.
• Liaise with internal departments, bankers, auditors, tax agents, and other external stakeholders on finance-related matters.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and strengthen financial controls.
• Support ad-hoc financial analysis, reporting assignments, and projects as assigned by Management
