SHL HPE INNOVATION SDN. BHD. is seeking an experienced finance professional to manage full-set accounting, tax filings, and monthly closing in Penang. You will handle AP/AR/GL, prepare P&L and balance sheets, and ensure MPERS compliance while supporting audits and process improvements.
The role requires 2–3 years in accounting, proficiency in MPERS, and hands-on experience with AutoCount/ERP and advanced Excel. Collaboration with other departments and accurate reporting are essential.
Prepare and maintain a full set of accounts, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Ledger (GL).
Prepare monthly and yearly financial statements such as Profit & Loss (P&L), Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statement.
Ensure all financial records are accurate, updated, and compliant with Malaysian Private Entities Reporting Standard (MPERS).
Perform month-end closing activities, including journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
Monitor daily cash flow and update cash flow forecast.
Handle payments, receipts, bank reconciliations, and petty cash management.
Ensure sufficient liquidity for business operations.
Prepare and issue customer invoices on time.
Track outstanding payments and follow up on collections.
Process supplier invoices and verify supporting documents before payment.
Prepare and submit statutory reports and tax filings such as SST, PCB, EPF, SOCSO, EIS, and corporate tax schedules.
Liaise with tax agents and ensure compliance with LHDN and customs regulations.
Maintain proper documentation for audit and tax purposes.
Work with external auditors during annual financial audits.
Ensure proper internal controls and accounting procedures are implemented.
Conduct internal checks to identify discrepancies and recommend improvements.
Maintain proper filing and documentation of financial records.
Support management with ad‑hoc financial tasks, reports, and project work.
Collaborate with other departments to resolve financial issues.
Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Professional certifications like ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or MICPA are an added advantage.
Minimum 2–3 years of relevant working experience in accounting or finance.
Experience in handling full set of accounts is preferred.
Fresh graduates may be considered for junior positions.
Good understanding of Malaysian Private Entities Reporting Standard (MPERS) and tax regulations.
Proficient in accounting software such as:
AutoCount
ERP
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Table, formulas).
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and analytical skills.
Good time management and ability to meet tight deadlines.
Strong communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia (Mandarin is an advantage).
Able to work independently with minimal supervision, yet collaborate well in a team.
