Job summary

QL Foods Sdn Bhd, a leading surimi manufacturer in Malaysia, is seeking a diligent accounting professional to assist in preparing and reviewing management accounts, financial statements, and cost analysis. You will support AP, AR, GL, inventory, and fixed assets processes to ensure accuracy and timely reporting.

You will participate in month-, quarter-, and year-end closing, liaise with auditors and tax agents, assist budgeting and forecasts, investigate discrepancies, and contribute to ERP

Responsibilities

To assist in prepare and assist in reviewing management accounts, financial statements, and financial analysis reports to ensure accuracy and timely submission
To support the full set of accounts, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), inventory accounting, and fixed assets management
To monitor and maintain manufacturing cost data, analyze production cost variances, and ensure the accuracy of inventory valuation and stock movement transactions
To participate in and support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, including account reconciliations and necessary journal adjustments.
To support the preparation and consolidation of annual budgets, financial forecasts, and financial planning activities.
To prepare audit schedules, supporting documentation, and reconciliations, and liaise with external auditors and tax agents during statutory audits, tax submissions, and regulatory reporting.
To support in liaising with internal departments to investigate and resolve discrepancies related to inventory, costing, or operational transactions.
To support and enhance ERP system utilization, including participating in system implementations, finance module improvements, and process optimization initiatives

We are also proud to be the leading manufacturer of surimi-based products in the country today.

Accordingly, we are the first vertically integrated surimi manufacturer in Malaysia to successfully integrate the surimi production plant with its substantially automated downstream production line to simultaneously produce both surimi and surimi-based products. Today, all our existing operations are also being increasingly automated and continuously upgraded in line with modernization and operational efficiency.

Through a workforce of more than 1200 workers, we produce a wide variety of chilled and frozen surimi-based products of the highest quality. All these products are delicious, nutritious and naturally fresh as we focused on utilizing only fresh marine fish source in our productions.

Our products are marketed under various brand names such as "Mushroom, Suria and OceanRia" which incidentally are notable and very popular in the local as well as oversea markets.
