About the role
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to join our Finance team at our Puchong, Selangor location on a full-time basis. This is a pivotal role within our organisation, responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. The Accountant will play a critical role in supporting the financial health and transparency of TOPLINE DENTAL CONCEPT SDN. BHD., working closely with senior management to provide timely and accurate financial information for strategic decision-making.
Key responsibilities
- Recording and processing financial transactions, including invoices, receipts, and expense claims in a timely and accurate manner
- Preparing and maintaining general ledger accounts and reconciling bank statements and subsidiary ledgers
- Assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS)
- Performing account reconciliations and investigating discrepancies to ensure the accuracy of financial records
- Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing and payment authorisation
- Assisting with payroll processing and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements
- Supporting the preparation of financial reports, budgets and forecasts for management review
- Maintaining comprehensive audit trails and supporting documentation for all transactions
- Assisting with tax compliance and the preparation of tax-related documentation
- Liaising with external auditors and providing necessary financial information and documentation
- Identifying opportunities to improve accounting processes and implementing best practices
What we're looking for
- A recognised professional accounting qualification such as Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), or Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) or equivalent qualification
- A minimum of 2–3 years' experience in financial accounting and reporting within a relevant industry
- Strong knowledge of Malaysian accounting standards, tax regulations and statutory reporting requirements
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel, with the ability to use advanced spreadsheet functions
- Experience in preparing financial statements and managing general ledger accounting
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment
- A professional, ethical approach to financial management and compliance
- Experience in the healthcare or dental sector would be advantageous
