Job summary

KT Advisory Sdn Bhd is seeking an Account & Payroll Assistant to manage full sets of accounts and payroll for multiple clients across various industries. You will handle AP/AR, GL and SST, process invoices and payroll, and prepare reconciliations and management reports with accuracy and timeliness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or professional degree in accountancy/finance with basic accounting knowledge.
• Fresh graduates or up to 1 year of accounting experience welcomed.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
• Proficient in MS Office; Excel and SQL Accounting experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Handle full sets of accounts including AP/AR, GL and SST.
• Process invoices, payment vouchers, disbursements and receipts.
• Verify invoices and accounting documents for accuracy.
• Prepare bank reconciliations and maintain AR/AP records.
• Prepare management accounts and financial reports with deadlines.
• Process payroll end‑to‑end and issue payslips.
• Submit statutory returns (Income Tax, EPF, SOCSO, HRDF).
• Support ad hoc assignments and other duties as required.

As an Account & Payroll Assistant, you will manage accounting and payroll activities for multiple clients across industries including professional services, trading and retail, manufacturing, food and beverage, education, healthcare, information technology, pharmaceutical and life sciences, automotive and non-profit organisations.

What you’ll do

Handle full sets of accounts, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and SST.

Process invoices, payment vouchers, disbursements, expenses, purchases and receipts using SQL Accounting software.

Verify the accuracy and completeness of invoices and accounting documents.

Prepare bank reconciliations, general journals and maintain up-to-date accounts receivable and accounts payable records.

Prepare management accounts and related financial reports in line with agreed deadlines.

Manage accounting matters for multiple clients while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and service.

Process client payroll from end to end, including payroll data processing for assigned headcounts.

Issue payslips and prepare approved net salary disbursements through electronic banking facilities to designated banks.

Prepare and submit periodic statutory returns to the relevant authorities, including Income Tax, EPF, SOCSO and HRDF.

Support ad hoc assignments and other duties as required.

What you’ll bring

A Bachelor's Degree or Professional Degree in Accountancy, Finance or an equivalent discipline; full or partial ACCA, CPA or equivalent qualification is also welcome.

fresh graduade or 1 year of experience in an accounting role.

Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.

Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Experience with SQL Accounting software is an advantage.

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.

Strong time management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Clear communication and good interpersonal skills for working with clients and colleagues.

A responsible, self-motivated and disciplined team player who can perform well under pressure.
